I've got a lot of little randomness going on in my head right now, so why not write them down?
1. The weather here (sunny, 80s, no humidity) makes me want to live outside. It is so gorgeous right now but it also reminds me that the long, hot summer months are right around the corner. Thank goodness for the swimming pool at the YMCA.
2. Zumba is my new favorite workout. It has become my happy place. Until I look in the mirror and quickly remember that I don't have moves like Jagger. But I sweat my ass off.
3. Walker has a low grade fever right now so he has been super super cuddly this morning. (I think because he is cutting major teefers right now). He wants to be all over me. Correction ... he wants to be all over my boobies. I swear it. I just had to move him a little because I was getting uncomfortable and he got mad at me, pointed at my chest and said something that sounded a lot like pillow.
4. I am ordering everything I need to do the 10 day challenge again. I've also agreed with my SIL to cut out all sweets and soda for the next 10 days.
5. My yard is looking gorgeous. The hubs and I are going to finish putting in the pavers, fresh mulch and plant marigolds by the mailbox this weekend. I am so excited! I love looking at people's yards in the Spring.
6. If you like meatloaf try making it in a muffin tin next time. I've done this the past few times I've made it and it turns out really good. And we each get to have our own individual meatloaf. I also make mine with ground turkey instead of beef.
7. We're going on a family vacation in May. To the Outer Banks. Need I say more?
8. I'm currently reading The Hunger Games. You should too. I'm going to see the movie with my sister and some of her coworkers next Friday.
9. The veggie stand reopened for the Spring/Summer on March 1st. I still haven't stopped by but I will be this weekend. I love having my kitchen full of fresh veggies and fruits. And so does Walker (see yesterday's post).
10. I'm making mint chocolate chip cookies for Andrew to take to work tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day. They will even be green. And I can't even test one out ... please refer back to number 4. boo hiss.
Oh, I have so much more on my mind right now .... crafts, Spring cleaning, pictures, ebay .... that's all for another day though!

Wednesdays are for Walker
Walker is a huge veggie lover. The kid loves grean beans, lima beans, edamame, broccoli, tomatos, avacodo .... You name it, he's tried it and more than likely has loved it. Last summer I called him my little tomato boy because he ate them every single day. And that's no exaggeration. He seriously would eat a plum tomoto (or larger) every day.
I had the fridge open yesterday getting a few things together for lunch and Walker spotted a yellow bell pepper, grabbed it, ran to the living room and started snacking right away.
I'm think this summer he may be my little bell pepper boy.
What do you think?
Happy Spring, friends!

Cousins!
Well, hello there! We had a great little weekend. The three of us packed our bags and headed to Raleigh to visit with ABC^2. It was so fun to watch the cousins (Chase, Cole and Walker) interact with one another. There was playing in the park, wrestling and jumping in the house and even a little bit of hand holding. Such sweet little guys. We haven't seen them since the holidays so this visit was an absolute must. And luckily we will get to see them quite a few more times for birthday celebrations, deck building and Amy's graduation. Fun times ahead!
And since I didn't blog yesterday here is my Menu Monday -
Monday - chicken spaghetti with side salad
Tuesday - turkey meatloaf and veggies
Wednesday - breakfast for dinner! (English muffin sammies and hashbrowns)
Thursday - leftover deliciousness
Friday - maybe Indian takeout?
Saturday - St. Patrick's Day - corned beef, cabbage and potatoes ... I'm also attempting to make homemade Irish Soda Bread. We'll see how that goes.
Have a fabulous week!

Monday already?
Seriously, where did the weekend go? We were pretty much the laziest family ever on Saturday. I don't even think I could tell you what we did besides play with Walker. Andrew did grill us some pretty phenomenal burgers and I made my first of many pasta salads of the year. And I went to the grocery store. But that's about it for Saturday. Oh! Walker did get to play in his first mud puddle so that was pretty awesome. I'll work on posting that video.
Yesterday, me and my man went on a date. Without our toddler. Yea ... that was amazing. I actually got to taste my food instead of scarfing it down. I didn't have to wrangle my kiddo into a high chair, keep him from screaming and offer him a bazillion different things to play with or do to keep him entertained. He's just not super fun to take to restaurants. He does great out and about at stores and running errands. But restaurants? No thanks. My blood pressure starts to rise just thinking about it.
After our early bird senior dinner (we went at 4:30) we headed over to Lowe's to pick up a few home improvement things. We have decided to take the house room by room and get it just the way we want it. Our downstairs powder room is done! I wish I had a before picture to show you. All we had to do was pick up were two new light sconces because the current ones are a little outdated. When we moved in I repainted and replaced the mirror. That's all it needed! It will probably be the cheapest of the rooms that needs improvement. I will make sure to do before and after picture posts as we chug along.
I'm going to start posting menus every Monday of what I'll be cooking for the week. I've noticed that if I write it out and put it on the fridge I am more motivated to follow through. So, here it is!
Monday - personal English muffin pizzas and side salad
Tuesday - bbg shredded chicken sammies in the crockpot, homemade garlic mashed potatoes, green beans
Wednesday - turkey meatloaf, brussel sprouts, corn on the cob
Thursday - homemade chicken tortilla soup
Friday - out of town
Saturday - out of town
Happy Monday, everyone!

one more for photo friday
This picture was posted on an acquaintance's facebook page today.
Just my two cents:
I'd rather pay $3.65 a gallon for gas than have some man tell me what I can and cannot do with my body.
